Description

Upholstery cleaning can be a minefield for the untrained technician due to the complexity and variety in construction and fibres.  This foundation course is designed to teach trainees the theory and practical skills to successfully carry out upholstery cleaning work in a professional manner and in compliance with best industry practice. 

Course coverage includes health and safety, selection of the appropriate methodology for different upholstery fibres (for example silk, cotton and leather) and drapes, best practice, common pitfalls and customer satisfaction. 

This course refers to:

·         Health & Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017; and

·         IICRC S300 – Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Upholstery Cleaning.
